3TG

Tin, tungsten, tantalum, and gold, also referred to as 3TG, are used in everyday products such as mobile phones, cars, and jewellery. These are essential for many of our modern technologies to function and we are extremely conscious that they be ethically sourced.

REE

Rare-earth elements (REEs) are used as components in high technology devices, such as smart phones, digital cameras, computer hard disks, fluorescent and light-emitting diode (LED) lights, flat screen televisions, computer monitors, and electronic displays.

Morocco

A) Samta Metals & Alloys SA (Metal Recycling Business)

Samta Mines is developing metal scrap recycling project in Atlantic Free Zone (AFZ), Kenitra-Morocco with an investment of 70 MUSD for production of copper rod as well as aluminum silica alloy ingots to cater local automotive, aeronautical and energy sector. Initial capacity of this plant will be 15000 TPA of copper and 20000 TPA of aluminum with further provision to double the capacity in 3 years.

B) Samta Morocco SA (Exploration & Mining Business)

Samta Mines holds 8 exploration permits & one exploitation licence for exploration and mining of copper and gold. Company also operates through joint venture with ONHYM (National Office of Hydrocarbons & Mines) for the exploration of 6 copper mining licenses. Exploration is in progress on above licenses.

DR Congo

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is one of the most mineral rich countries in the world. Samta holds 2 licences that span 204 sq. km in the Kasai Central Province with active interest and focus on Copper and Cobalt and initial exploration program is in progress. Our exploration activities are done under strict international guidelines and a close audit of JORC standards and certification.

Uganda

With an investment of over 12 million USD, our operations in Uganda span around 1250 sq. km area of mining concessions with 13 licenses and are focused on Nickel and associated minerals in Arua, Zombo, and Gulu regions. Nickel exploration is at an advanced stage for discovery of massive sulphide deposits. As on date, 199 km2 mapped, 82,721 soil samples taken and 16,400 m drilled with mineral resource estimate (MRE) 38.6 Mt of Ni ore @ 0.42% Ni grade in inferred resources category.
